No OTHER NAMES of which I know.

BACKGROUND:

Andor Czompo (a Hungarian) arranged this incredibly beautiful dance in 1966. Quoting the dance descriptions: "Original research done by Miklos Rabai, Choreographer of the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble, and George Manninger, folklorist."

FORMATION:

Couples: man holds woman's shoulder-blades, woman holds man's shoulders.


BARS ACTION
4/4Up-down.
1-3No action. Bend knees slightly (ct 4 of bar 3).
4-6Flex knees (cts 2,4); straighten knees (cts 1,3). Face: to R (cts 1), to L (cts 3).
7Step to R onto ball of R ft, knees straight (ct 1), step across R ft onto L ft, knees flexed (ct 2), step by L ft onto R ft, knees straight (ct 3), flex knees (ct 4).
8= 7 with opposite footwork.
9-12= 7-8, 3 times in all.
  
 Hop, hop, cifra.
1Hop on L ft and swing R ft across L ft with R heel pointed to L and bent L knee (ct 1), hop on L ft and swing R ft to R with R heel pointed to R and R knee still bent (ct 2). Dance a cifra R: stamp in place onto: R ft, L ft, R ft (cts 3,&,4).S
2= 1 with opposite footwork.
3Dance 2 heel-cifras (R and L), swinging R ft to side in preparation for next step.
  
 Heel-cifra R: = stamp in place onto R ft, L heel, R ft (cts 1,&,2).
  
4Step in place onto R ft, clicking R heel against L heel and swinging L ft to L (ct 1), hop on R ft (ct 2), step in front of R ft onto L ft (ct 3), step behind L ft onto R ft (ct &), step in front of R ft onto L ft (ct 4).
5-6= 4, 3 times on all.
7-12= 1-6.
  
 Step-hops. Release handhold. Man's R hand holds woman's L hand; man's L hand behind his back; woman's R hand on her hip, fingers forward.
1Step-hop back onto: R ft, L ft (cts 1,2,3,4).
2Step-hop: behind L ft onto R ft, behind R ft onto L ft (cts 1,2,3,4).
3Dance 2 heel-cifras (R and L).
4Change places with partner, passing R shoulders and holding R hands joined and down, with 2 more step-hops, starting onto R ft.
5-6= 2-3.
7-12= 4-6, 3 times in all. Resume shoulder - shoulder-blade position.
  
 Bokazo and rida.
1-3With a small hop on L ft, touch R toe before L ft with R knee turned out and bent and R heel pointed to L (ct 1), jump to R (90° CCW) onto both feet, pigeon-toed (ct 2), jump in place onto both feet with heels together and knees straight (ct 3), jump in place onto both feet, pigeon-toed (ct 4), jump in place onto both feet with heels together and knees straight (ct 1), hold (ct 2), repeat all of the above with opposite footwork and turning 90° CW (cts 3,4,1,2,3,4).
4-6= 1-3.
7-8Dance 4 upbeat/open ridas to R (turning CCW): step to R onto R ft (cts 1,3), step to R across R ft onto L ft, flexing knees (cts 2,4).
9= cts 1-3 of bar 1 (cts 1-3), hold (ct 4).
10-12= 7-9 with opposite footwork and direction.
 Repeat the dance. Start with figure 1, bars 4-6 twice, instead of waiting.
