SFDH Privacy Policy

Information Collected

When contacting us, visitors to the Society of Folk Dance Historians (SFDH) Web site must provide some personal information to assist us in responding to queries. At a minimum, we require a name and e-mail address for general inquiries. If you wish to join the SFDH, advertise in or submit articles for our publications, or donate funds or materials, a mailing address is also required. Optionally, you may also provide us with a telephone number or the name of your organization or business, but this is left to your discretion.

Use of Information

We use this information only to send further information and/or forms relating to the matter you have inquired about. It is only retained for the purpose of such communication, and is never shared with third parties without your express consent.

Terms of Membership

We publish our Folk Dance Directory ONLY to help our 500+ member dancers contact friends and find groups. By joining us, you PROMISE to respect the privacy of others and NOT to copy names and addresses from the directory for commercial purposes.
